We are pleased to invite you to attend the Fall 2002 meeting of the Louisiana Archives and Manuscripts Association, to be held November 15 in the Evangeline Room of the Student Union Building, University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Following the meeting there will be a brief tour of the recently renovated Edith Garland Dupré Library, including the Special Collections Department. Registration is $20.00 and includes lunch. Preregistration is not required. Please note that it is also time to pay your annual dues. A renewal form is enclosed and may be mailed to the Treasurer, or dues may be paid at the meeting.

1:15-2:15 Business meeting and news from member institutions
2:15-3:00 Tips on making exhibits visually appealing. Scott Ratterree, Preparator, Historic New Orleans Collection
3:00 Tour of Dupré Library

REGISTRATION FEE $20.00, lunch included.

Free parking in the Visitors’ lot behind the Student Union; just tell the attendant you are there for the LAMA meeting. Driving directions to the Student Union:
>From I-49, which becomes Evangeline Throughway, drive under I-10 overpass to Johnston Street (7th traffic light). Turn right to University Avenue (4th light). Turn left to McKinley (2nd light). Turn right; drive one block. Visitors’ lot is on the right.
>From I-10, take exit 101, Lafayette/Carencro and turn south on University Avenue to McKinley Street (11th traffic light). Turn right; drive one block. Visitors’ lot is on the right.
>From US Highway 90: watch for Lafayette Regional Airport on the right. Turn left (from left-hand lane) onto University Avenue. At 4th traffic light turn left onto McKinley; drive one block. Visitors’ lot is on the right.
