The Louisiana Archives and
Manuscripts
Association promotes the role of archives in the preservation of our
national,
state, and local
heritage by cooperating with Louisiana's public and private archival repositories in their work of
collecting,
conserving, and making accessible to the public manuscript, printed, graphic arts, and audio
materials
of historical significance.
LAMA publishes the Louisiana Archives and Manuscripts Association Newsletter twice yearly in Spring and Fall.
