Black History Month 2008
Genealogy Workshop
February 23, 2008
Main Library

A beginner's genealogy workshop was held at the Main Library that attracted interested patrons to the Saturday morning workshop.

Louisiana researcher Barbara Trevigne led the workshop and presented participants with an abundance of handouts and materials to direct patrons to the proper research materials.

Melissa Wilson, real estate title abstractor, shows participants how to research property in the city's division of real estate and records.

Trevigne points out a location on an old street map of New Orleans.

Later in the program, Trevigne answered questions from the audience.
