Mostly documents, many preliminary reports/studies, along with several volumes of routine office records. The documents deal with the development of the city plan, land use/zoning, railroads, the port of New Orleans, and recreation. The records are mostly fiscal in nature. Maps. Board of Advisory Engineers to the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad Commission. 1918-1919(?) Includes 108 oversize maps and plans (and some graphs) relating to the proposed crossing over the Mississippi River. Apparently the decision had not yet been made as to whether the crossing would be a bridge or a tunnel, since several tunnel plans are included. At least some of the plans show existing buildings and/or uses in the vicinity of proposed projects. These plans appear to correlate with the exhibits referenced in the text of the item in Box 3 #3. 3 2
