| Census | 1 | 280 | 2/13/1778 | Governor: Galves; Royal Ensign: De Reggio, Sr. - At this meeting of the Cabildo two Commissioners were appointed to examine the new houses erected in the city and ascertain the number of citizens, and recommend the most convenient way of informing His Majesty of the prosperity of this Province. (The Commissioners reported that they had discharged the duty assigned to them - page 282 - in examining the new houses erected in the city since 1774 up to date, in order to verify the growth of the city. The report was revised and filed in the Archives.) |
