141st Separate Battalion Field Artillery
Also a component of the 23rd Cavalry Division, the 141st Field Artillery is the official designation of the force popularly known as the Washington Artillery. In 1938 the unit was headquartered at New Orleans and commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Henry B. Curtis who later served as City Attorney and Councilman for the Crescent City. This image shows one of the 141st batteries preparing to fire during a training session.
