Jackson Square
When this lithograph was published, the monument to Andrew Jackson was just a couple of years old and the Pontalba Buildings had yet to mark their tenth anniversary on the scene. Little has changed in this view in the years since 1858. There is no longer a cupola atop the Presbytere and the landscaping has changed over time, but Jackson Square remains in many ways the heart of the Crescent City.
