New Orleans lost the Butter Krisp but Brennan's remains in business as one of our most famous restaurants. This photograph was taken in the mid-1950s, not too long after Owen Brennan moved his dining room from Bourbon Street to its longtime location at 417 Royal Street. The restaurant is still there, but Rene's perfume store and the Zula Fricks button shop are no longer in business.
