Alpha Delta Xi was an apparently short-lived fraternity founded at Tulane during the year before this yearbook was published. One of its members was Jay T. Nix (fourth from the left, top row), a sophomore medical student. Twenty-one years later Dr. Nix and his brothers donated property at the corner of South Carrollton Avenue and Willow Street to the City for construction of a branch library in memory of their parents. The Nix branch of NOPL continues in operation to this day.
