(Caption on reverse) "Left to right: Mayor Moon Landrieu, Judge Ernest N. Morial, U.S. Forest Service Chief John R. McGuire, and Charles A. Ferguson, associate editor of the New Orleans STATES-ITEM. Morial and Ferguson are co-chairman [sic] of a citizens' committee for the Louis Armstrong Memorial Park. A live oak tree has just been planted in the park as a symbol for a grove of trees in America to be placed in the park when it is landscaped. The American Forestry Association, American Association of Nurserymen, and the USDA Forest Service have pledged to assist in bringing trees to this area."
