Attached text: Louisiana Avenue widening was another of a series of projects designed to increase traffic capacity of key through streets. Begun in 1950, this crosstown widening project was completed in 1951. Wide neutral grounds provide space for street widening projects and also leaves sufficient area for street beautification.
