Louisiana Division
New Orleans Public Library
The collection consists of sixty-one prints and five negatives (a contact print is also available for one of the negatives). The prints range in size from 8" x 10" to 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". The subjects include New Orleans courtyards along wi
th Robert Tallant, his friends and associates.
The prints/negatives were scanned (by Louisiana Division volunteer Jayme Jacob) as grayscale images at 300 dpi on a Microtek E6 scanner
and saved as 2000 pixel TIFFs using Photoshop 4.0. The TIFFs are being retained as archival masters. Photoshop was also used to produce edited 600 pixel JPEGs and the 150 pixel JPEG thumbnails displayed
below.
Captions used are those written on the reverse of the mountings for the prints/negatives. Additional information on some photographs is included in brackets.
